Small and tightly packed, the Nikon Coolpix 4300 looks a lot like a tiny 35mm film camera, complete with an ample handgrip and protruding lens barrel. The all-plastic camera body is fairly lightweight, at just 9.9 ounces (282 grams), including the battery and memory card, but the camera feels solid and well-built. While the camera is a little too thick to fit into an average shirt pocket, the Coolpix 4300's dimensions of 3.7 x 2.7 x 2.0 inches (95 x 69 x 52 millimeters) make it ideal for afocal photography using the DigiCam Adpter by Lumicon. |

The joy of having an old
Pentax K1000 SLR is the complete control you have over everything in
this camera. From changing the aperture to over expose or under expose
to changing the shutter speed which can keep the shutter open fo longer
allowing moving objects to be snapped in motion and capture deep sky
objects. From changing the depth of field, or toggling with infra-red
views, to taking multiple exposures by forcing the film to stay put
whilst you take photos one on top of the other. This camera is a most for every amateur astronomer. |
